Unsorted

Files are displayed in the order that matches are found with no sorting.

Path name

The search results are sorted by the full path name of each file. The path name includes the drive and folder of each file.

File name

The search results are sorted by the name of each file. The drive and folder of each file are not used in this sort.

File type

The search results are sorted by the type of each file. For example .pdf files will sorted together as will .doc files.

Last Modified

The search results are sorted by the date when each file was last modified.

Number of matches

The search results are sorted by the number of matches found in each file.

File size

The search results are sorted by the size of each file.

Ascending

Selecting or deselecting this option determines whether the search is sorted in ascending or descending order.
